MANAGED PRESERVES

The SDHC manages seven preserves in San Diego County:

  1. The Welk Biological Open Space next to the Lawrence Welk Resort off I-15
  2. The Woods Valley Ranch Open Space Preserve north of Escondido at Valley Center Rd.
  3. The Vallecitos Ridge Open Space Preserve in San Marcos
  4. The Eureka Ranch Open Space Preserve in Escondido on East Valley Parkway
  5. The Encinas Creek Biological Open Space in Carlsbad south of Palomar Airport Rd
  6. The Emerald Pointe Preserve in Carlsbad, south of Palomar Airport Rd/Aviara Parkway
  7. The Lowe's Biological Open Space in Santee, east of Carlton Hills Blvd.
